About the Author

Pam MacKellarPamela H. MacKellar has been a librarian for more than 25 years. She has held positions as a newspaper librarian, library services director, assistant librarian, health services librarian, cataloger, technology consultant, and independent consultant in libraries of all kinds, including special libraries, school, public, post-secondary, tribal, prison and state library agency.

Pam is the co-author of Grants for Libraries: A How-To-Do-It Manual (Neal-Schuman Publishers, 2006) and the article, “Wishing Won’t Work: 10 Things You Need to Know and Do When Applying for Technology Grants” (Computers in Libraries, July–August 2006). Currently she is working on a new book, Winning Grants: A Multimedia How-To-Do-It Manaul for Librarians, to be published in 2010. She has presented at the Computers in Libraries Conference, Internet Librarian Conference, and the New Mexico Library Association Annual Conference. She has taught a class on technology grants for non-profits at University of New Mexico's Continuing Education Department and written Grant Writing Basics, a web tutorial for the University of North Texas School of Library and Information Sciences. She co-hosts the Library Grants Blog.
